Job Overview

As a CRM Integration Engineer you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and continuously improving CRM systems, integrations, and sales operations processes. You will work at the intersection of technology, sales, operations, product, finance, and customer-facing teams to ensure that CRM tooling, automation, data flows, and reporting support scalable and efficient business operations.

The role combines hands-on technical ownership of HubSpot integrations and automation with strong business process understanding and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for improving existing processes, replacing externally hosted endpoints with secure internal services, enhancing data quality and observability, and translating operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Design, maintain, and optimize the HubSpot data model, including contacts, companies, deals, lifecycle stages, and custom objects.
  • Own and continuously improve HubSpot workflows, automation, and lifecycle logic across sales, onboarding, partner, and customer processes.
  • Build and maintain backend integration services and API wrapper layers connecting the product backend with HubSpot.
  • Design and maintain APIs and event-driven integrations using the programming language best suited to the solution, with C# / .NET Core considered a strong advantage.
  • Develop and maintain webhook and event-processing pipelines to ensure reliable data synchronization between systems.
  • Design and implement field mappings, normalization rules, and deduplication and matching logic across connected systems.
  • Recreate externally hosted endpoints internally and migrate existing processes to secure, maintainable, and well-documented internal services.
  • Review existing workflows, endpoints, and processes in collaboration with sales and operational teams; archive obsolete processes, consolidate duplicated workflows, and improve existing solutions where required.
  • Improve error-state management, process reliability, monitoring, and observability across CRM integrations and automation.
  • Translate business requirements and operational processes into technical requirements, automation, workflows, and scalable system solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product backend teams to introduce additional automations, metrics, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
  • Manage CRM implementation and configuration to support the complete product and service portfolio, including onboarding, product pipelines, sales processes, and sales dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and friction reduction throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain sales overview dashboards and reporting structures that provide actionable insights to sales teams and company management.
  • Act as a key interface between sales, operations, product management, finance, and technology teams to define and prioritize system improvements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams and manage system interfaces that support efficient and reliable billing processes.
  • Coordinate with external contributors and vendors and ensure quality and progress across multiple operational workstreams.
  • Support internal team members and project-based resources in delivering CRM and sales operations initiatives.
  • Ensure CRM processes and tooling enable scalable and consistent sales operations, helping the business gain and retain customers.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, process reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong professional experience in backend development, CRM integration, sales operations, business systems, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot and a strong understanding of CRM object models and their relationships.
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, authentication, and system-to-system integrations.
  • Experience designing and maintaining backend integration services, APIs, and automation workflows.
  • Strong understanding of CRM data structures, including field mappings, normalization, deduplication, and matching logic.
  • Hands-on experience with webhooks, change data capture, and reliable event delivery patterns.
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC and JWT, including connected applications and service principals.
  • Experience handling credentials securely using managed secrets solutions such as HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or comparable technologies.
  • Strong understanding of access control models, audit logging, and secure handling of sensitive data.
  • Good knowledge of GDPR, data privacy, and data residency requirements, with practical experience applying these principles to business systems and integrations.
  • Experience with C# / .NET Core is highly preferred.
  • Experience with CRM implementation, sales automation, workflow development, and sales process optimization.
  • Ability to design scalable, low-overhead operational infrastructure and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex processes and identify practical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience working with dashboards, reporting structures, and business metrics is an advantage.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional projects and external vendors while maintaining quality, timelines, and available budgets.
  • Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset and confidence in making decisions within the scope of the role.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive results across cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in an open, collaborative, and fast-paced team environment.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
